CASA volunteers gather information from Family and Children Services, biological family, and service providers regarding the foster child’s current living arrangements and well being. The CASA volunteer will evaluate the information and provide a written report with a recommendation to the Juvenile Court.
CASA volunteers make a difference in children’s lives. Studies have shown, children who have experienced abuse or neglect are far more likely to find a safe, permanent home with a CASA volunteer by their side. This is one cause where the actions of a single individual can have a profound impact on a child.
