We’re working to make sure every child from our very own communities that is placed in foster care has a voice, a real voice, that is heard and respected by the Juvenile Court when decisions are made about their safety and well-being. In our rural communities across Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, and Walker Counties, children in foster care are not strangers. They are our neighbors, our team sports players, our school kids. They come from the same roads, hollers, and hometowns we do.
CASA Volunteers step in so these children don’t face the system alone. We advocate for kids who have been abused or neglected, making sure the court understands what they’re experiencing, what they need, and what will help them heal. In small communities like ours, standing up for children isn’t just a mission, it’s part of who we are.

Our Story
Lookout Mountain CASA, Inc. is a nonprofit child‑advocacy organization serving the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit—Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, and Walker counties. Every day, our team works to ensure children in foster care from our own communities have a consistent, trained advocate who elevates their voice in Juvenile Court.
Our Board of Directors, made up of representatives from each of the four counties, provides governance, community insight, and strategic direction to keep our mission rooted in local needs.
Daily operations are led by our Executive Director, who oversees program integrity, community partnerships, court collaboration, and organizational sustainability. Supporting this work are our Advocacy Coordinators, who guide CASA Volunteers through every step of their case—monitoring safety concerns, reviewing DFCS and provider documentation, preparing court reports, and ensuring each child’s needs are clearly communicated to the Juvenile Court.
A vital part of our operations is our Recruiter and Training Coordinator, who strengthens the program by bringing in new volunteers and equipping them with trauma‑informed, legally appropriate, and court‑ready training. This role ensures that every volunteer entering the courtroom is prepared, confident, and supported, which directly impacts the quality of advocacy children receive.
